        Cambridge Program


Cambridge / AP orientation will commence at 9:00 am on August 20, 2008 in the Potomac Library and end at 12:00 pm.

There will be a "Cambridge Tea" on August 20, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the Potomac Library.

This reading list are books that will be addressed during the academic school year.  Students will need to purchase the novels.

IGCSE English 9 Suggested Summer Reading List

This list is for student enrichment and is a combined list of the books from the PWCS and the Cambridge reading lists.

IGCSE English 9 Optional Summer Reading List

Students are to select any fiction or nonfiction reading of "their choice".  They should go to any bookstore and select their favorite author or genre, read the book, and write the letter to the author, as outlined in the link above.  Students who choose to complete this assignment will submit the letter to the teacher in the first class.

Back to School Important Events / Dates for School Year 2008-2009

New Student Registration will begin on July 22, 2008.  Please call the Guidance office at 703-441-4270 to schedule an appointment.

Potomac Senior will be hosting new Student Orientation on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 - Time to be determined.

Guidance will host the Annual Senior Breakfast on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 8:00 am in the school cafeteria.

SAT On-line Prep Course Tutorials

Log on information for tutorials in English and Math using the College board SAT On-line Prep Course are available from Room 170.  These tutorials are FREE and open to all Potomac High School students!

These tutorials are available on-line from any internet capable computer!
