Women's Tennis Opportunity!

Attention Women Tennis Players!

Women's Tennis Pre-season Clinic. Wednesday Dec 2, Dec 9 and Dec 16 from 3:00 - 4:40 pm at Montclair Tennis Center. Cost for each lesson is $10. If you are interested in playing on the Potomac High School Women's Tennis Team you should attend this clinic.

Women's Tennis Holiday Fundraiser Nov 24- Dec 7!!! Girls interested in being on the Women's Tennis Team are encouraged to participate in the Poinsettia Sale to raise team funds. See Mrs Morrell in the main office.

College Bus Tour - 2010!

The "Get on the Bus" College Tour is ready to take off again! We will start our tour on March 25th and return on March 26th. The colleges/universities that we will visit are Christopher Newport University, Hampton University, Old Dominion University, Virginia State University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the University of Virginia. Juniors and Sophomores that are interested can pick up permission slips from Mrs. Moore in the Counseling Department starting December 1st. Please click here for more information!

Science Teacher wins VAST Award!

Lesley Johnson, Science teacher at Potomac Senior High School was presented the biology Award for exemplary contributions to science education by the Virginia Association of Science Teachers (VAST) at its annual awards ceremony on November 6, 2009. Ms Johnson is Potomac’s Science Department Chair and she teaches IGCSE Biology, Biology, and AICE Biology. She received an engraved plaque from the VAST Awards Committee and reimbursement for her registration fee for the VAST Conference.

SOL Re-Takes in December and January!

Seniors needing an SOL for graduation will be tested in December and January. See your guidance counselor if you have any questions.

Underclassmen who passed the course, but did not pass the SOL, can request to retake the SOL in December/January.

The form is available in Guidance, the front office or by clicking the link below. All request forms must be turned in by November 24^th.

Financial Aid Night!

There will be a "Financial Aid Night" for students and parents of Prince William County Schools on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 7:00 pm. This presentation will occur at Garfield High School in their auditorium.
