Scholarships can be found on the scholarship board in the Guidance Department. Students need to check the board frequently. AVAR PRESS ESSAY COMPETITION

Avar Press is sponsoring its 4^th annual essay competition. They are seeking the best essays analyzing D.J. Solomon’s, XEN. Essays may cover any single analysis of the book. Go to www.avarpress.com for complete details. Deadline: May 31, 2009

NORTHERN VIRGINIA APARTMENT ASSOCIATION

NVAA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Northern Virginia Apartment Association is sponsoring a scholarship contest for seniors who plan to study a field broadly related to real estate. Preference will be given to tenants living in apartments. See application for more details. Deadline: May 31, 2009.

NextGen NETWORK 2009 ESSAY COMPETITION

This scholarship is open to African American seniors in good academic standing who will complete their studies in 2009. Applicants must be US citizens who plan to attend college and applicants must write an essay following the instructions in the application.

DEVRY HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

Five scholarships for PSHS who plan to attend DeVry University will be awarded. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Wakefield in the Career Center.

The Northern Virginia Apartment Association is sponsoring $1,500.00 scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a secondary instruction in the fall of 2009 are interested in the field of real estate and have overcome significant obstacles in the lives while remaining committed to academic achievement and community involvement. Applications can be obtained from the scholarship board. Deadline is May 31, 2009.
